Orthopedist Dr. Edward Gundy was one of two WESTMED physicians to receive the medical group’s Dr. Leonard Finkelstein Patient First Award. The annual award is given in memory of the founding member of The Westchester Medical Group.
“Ted Gundy is a physician well respected by his colleagues and his office staff and beloved by his patients. He was chosen from a group of 15 worthy nominees,” said Dr. Jen Johnson, chair of the nominating committee.
Dr. Gundy, a Rye native, specializes in the nonsurgical treatment of orthopedic problems, and holds academic appointments at The Weill Cornell University Medical College. Since 1999 he has been listed as a “Top Doctor, New York Metro Area”.
He is one of the founding members of WESTMED Medical Group, sitting on its board of directors from 1996-2006 and serving as chairman from 2001-2006.
