Elsa Zambano
Elsa Luigia (Fabbro) Zambano passed away on October 11, 2018. She was 92.
Born in New York City on November 24, 1925 to John and Caterina (Candusso) Fabbro, she was a longtime resident of the Bronx and Rye, N.Y.
She was a loving and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Mrs. Zambano was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Gino Mario Zambano; her sister, Ines Cevetillo; her brothers, Italo (Joseph) and Arthur Fabbro; and her son-in-law, Thomas Salese. She is survived by her three daughters, Laura Greechan (Hugh), Norma Salese, and Gina Tompkins (Robert). Known as Nonna to her seven grandchildren, she was a devoted grandmother to Marisa, Jessica, David, Dana, Elizabeth, Robert, and Catherine.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated October 16 at Church of the Resurrection in Rye. Interment followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
