Hotline Needed to Report Leaf Blower Violators
If the City of Rye is concerned about the loss of revenue from fewer parking tickets being issued due to Covid-19, I have a simple solution. Re-task one or two of the parking meter force to write fines for leaf blower infractions and provide the public with a hotline to report violators. I bet the City would enjoy the windfall.
I live in Hix Park and the leaf blowers are blowing all day long with little to no enforcement. In addition to providing the City with revenues, the quality of life in Rye would be greatly improved while we are all working and studying from home these days.
