Nest Inspired Home has been the local premier destination for furniture, art, design, lighting, and gifts. For 12 years, a local clientele has flocked to the 3,000- square-foot showroom at 20 Purchase Street, meticulously curated by co-owners Bets Miller and Aly Drew.
“We started out as a retail destination where customers could see and touch the merchandise and buy design quality furnishing without hiring a designer,” said interior designer Miller.
“At the beginning, we focused on offering our customers immediate gratification and along the way we evolved into a thriving design business,” added Drew, who manages daily operations.
Indeed, the store ended up flourishing as a destination for the design trade community, as well as for “feathering the nests” of countless personal customers. Nest’s timeless transitional design style has consistently drawn clients from Westchester, Greenwich, the Hamptons, Nantucket, and Florida.
No doubt, its many fans will be disappointed to learn that Nest is flying the coop. As was always in the co-founders’ long-term plan, Drew is migrating south to Florida. Miller, however, is remaining in Rye and building a new nest at 77 Purchase Street in the bright corner Rye Trust building that previously housed Patisserie Salzburg. She will start fresh with their “great team” and rechristen the store, Finch & Co.
The very best of friends who have raised their children here, Drew and Miller are heartfully grateful to the community for their support all these years.
“Rye is amazing. It has been a thrill and a great ride,” remarked Drew. “We started the store as young moms, and it has been a large part of our families’ lives.”
Miller added, “We’ve had 12 lovely years. Rye has been such a special place to run a business. We are so thankful to our customers, our fellow retailers, and our team.”
While Finch & Co. will be opening in the fall, finchandco.com is ready for business. All summer long, all are welcome to Nest Inspired’s summer markdowns. Follow them on Instagram @Finchandco_Home.
