BUS-AND-ORGS-BOY-SCOUTSRye’s Troop 2 recognized the achievements of 27 Boy Scouts at its quarterly Court of Honor October 23. Many boys completed merit badges and rank requirements during the summer, with most coming from an exciting two weeks at Camp Read in the Adirondacks where the Troop was recognized as the “Best in Camp” by the Camp’s leadership. Also recognized was the Troop’s Gold Award for overall excellence in scouting.

The troop congratulated their two newest Eagle Scouts — Thomas Unkenholz and Sean Howard both of Mamaroneck — on the completion of their Eagle Scout requirements, including two service projects for the Harrison Presbyterian Church.

The scouts are already looking forward to three exciting trips planned for next summer – a week of scuba diving at Florida Sea Base, a week of mountaineering at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, and a week at the national jamboree in Boy Scout’s newest high adventure camp in West Virginia.
