The Rye library’s Auxiliary Board hosted an evening of history March 21. A panel of five speakers provided fascinating facts and details about Rye’s historic sites — the Square House, Bird Homestead, Quaker Meeting House, Whitby Castle, and John Jay’s boyhood home at the Jay Heritage Center — to a packed house.
