Families donned rain gear and made their way through puddles to the 3rd Annual Rye Children’s Book Festival on September 23 at the Westchester Children’s Museum on the Playland Boardwalk. Rye Reads hosted another sensational young lit day.
Over 60 children’s authors entertained and enlightened a rapt crowd. They read aloud, in more than one language. Illustrators demonstrated their skills, and Dawny Dew led a sing-along.
Rye Reads Co-Directors Terry Caridi and Georgia Arbuiso thanked the many community sponsors for their commitment to early childhood literacy and reported that plans for the 2024 Festival are underway.
