Congratulations to Rye High School seniors Jeffrey (Paddy) Harrigan and Dan Yamaguchi, who were named National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalists in mid-September. The students earned the recognition by scoring well on the PSAT/NMSQT test taken during their junior year. Further congratulations to the 11 Rye High seniors who were named Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program: Amelia Brooks, Juliette Hamlen, Jiawen Hao, Niklas Hofmann, Kathryn Keith, Polina Komarova, Bryan Laverty, Lara Oktay, Samantha Ryan, Rebecca Speas, and Spencer Swiader.
All thirteen standouts will receive Rye Recognition of Excellence awards from the Board of Education.
