Reid Carolin, the grandson of Dorothy and John Carolin of Rye, and Channing Tatum recently won a Peabody Award for producing “Earth Made of Glass”, a documentary Carolin wrote and the pair produced. The film looks into the aftermath of the Rwanda genocide, how President Paul Kagame is leading the country through to acceptance and resolution, and the deep wounds that remain from the lengthy conflict.
Recently, following the glittering success of this summer’s release, Steven Soderbergh film, “Magic Mike”, starring Tatum and written by Carolin, their production company, Iron Horse, has a bevy of new projects.
Carolin is doing the screenplay and Tatum is headlining a film they are producing based on the book, “Life of Evel” (Knievel). They are also working on a Broadway musical based on “Magic Mike”, due out next summer.
