Rye celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Deane Flood Memorial Run November 15, and, although it’s hard to believe that most of the competitors weren’t even alive for the inaugural event, the one-mile race has only become more important with each passing year.

Participants ran and walked in memory of the former Rye High School Principal, and raised over $1,000 for his titular scholarship fund. Medals were awarded to the top three male and female finishers in Rye’s elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as the male and female adult runners.
