The 25th annual Rye YMCA Derby, one of the YMCA’s biggest annual fundraising events, brought together elite and recreational runners on April 28. And whether they competed in the 1 Mile Fun Run, the 5K, or the 5 Mile, they all were heartened to have world-class runner and Rye Derby founder Eamonn Coghlan cheering them on. Proceeds from the Derby will help fund the YMCA’s financial assistance programs, as well as many of its other youth and character-building programs.
