Wainwright House, the country’s oldest holistic learning center, was the scene of contemplation and humanitarianism at the seventh annual Healing Arts and Community Fair September 30.
Keynote speaker Marlise Karlin told a captive crowd how to ignite the power of peace within. Guests took part in art projects and individual sessions with skilled practitioners, listened to lectures on everything from Mysticism to the water shortage crisis, and seined on Milton Harbor with their families. Many spent time in the Meditation Garden and walked the Labyrinth. They also shopped for hard-to-find healing lotions, jewelry, and services, and dined on all-natural delights. The afternoon ended with a drumming ceremony celebrating Earth and quiet reflection.
