Longtime tennis professional Lloyd Emanuel was inducted into the New Rochelle Sports Hall of Fame at a reception at the Davenport Club in New Rochelle on October 24.
Longtime tennis professional Lloyd Emanuel was inducted into the New Rochelle Sports Hall of Fame at a reception at the Davenport Club in New Rochelle on October 24. Emanuel was a star tennis player on the New Rochelle High School varsity tennis team and went onto a stellar career playing for Columbia University. He has also held many high national senior rankings.
At the reception, Emanuel was honored for his many years of coaching, running tournaments in the area, and service to the game. For the past two decades, Emanuel has been a senior professional at Sound Shore Indoor Tennis Club in Port Chester, and Tennis Director at Fairview Country Club in Greenwich. He and his family live in Rye.
