The first hints of fall were in the air for the annual Jay Day September 23.
Farm animals grazed on the grounds, all sorts of balloons took shape, families painted pumpkins, and the smallest of guests went on pony rides.
Docents dressed in 19th-century costumes gave tours of the historic Jay mansion.
Everyone paused long enough to listen to music on the veranda, sip apple cider, and enjoy the glorious views beyond to the Marshlands.
