This spring The Rye Arts Center will take art lovers near and not so far for Eye On Art Tours. The cost is $35 per tour, $100 for all four. Transportation is not included; meet at the assigned location. Registration is required; call 967-0700 or visit ryeartscenter.org.

Learn about the significant role the user plays in the design process, and explore everyday examples of products, spaces, and interfaces to understand how designers today are changing their point of view — from designing for people to designing with people.

Outdoor sculpture collection at Storm King ranges from post-World War II to the present and include gifts, acquisitions, specially commissioned site-specific works, and loans. While the focus of the collection has been on large-scale abstract sculpture, much of it in steel, it also includes figurative work and sculpture in stone, earth, and other materials. Wear comfortable shoes as you’ll will be covering a lot of terrain. There will be a lunch break at 11:30.

Check out the hottest art in town while gaining an understanding of the gallery scene. Visit six to eight galleries in Chelsea, including Pace (three galleries), Mathew Marks, Gagosian, and Cheim & Read, depending upon what is on exhibit. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
