8/21 Concerned caller reported two children playing around warehouse, running unattended in Nursery Lane parking lot. Spoke to youths and parents, told them not to play near loading dock.
8/21 A wailing we will go… Noise complaint, loud music, Marina, Milton Road, 2:06 a.m. Situation corrected.
8/21 Loud party, Centre Street, behind Brown Avenue, 12:23 a.m. Music lowered, party ended for night.
8/20 Age-old story. Leaf blowers reported being used, Midland Avenue. Spoke to caller who advised parties left shortly after he called. GOA.
8/20 …And it felt so good. Brown/white Border Collie was running around in roadway, Fenton/Sand streets. Reunited with owner.
8/20 I’masking you nicely. Mobil station employee called requesting officer for difficult customer refusing to leave. Verbal disagreement over difference on face mask and face covering. Situation resolved.
8/19 Mint Oreo Bomb. Third party caller reported kids threw fireworks at people sitting down to have dinner, Elm Place, 8:46 p.m. Searched area, GOA.
8/19: Caller stated group of kids was “up to no good”, Milton Road/Radcliffe Avenue, 7:48 p.m. Canvassed area multiple times, negative results.
8/19 Pine Lane caller reported criminal mischief at his residence.

8/18 With a nose of strawberry and citrus? Suitcase reported in front of Anna Marie’s Wine Bar left unattended. Bag claimed by owner.

8/17 Squall in a day’s work. Police Boat 2 responded to distress call for disabled vessel in vicinity of buoy 36, Port Chester/Greenwich, 7:17 p.m. Building storm had damaged caller’s sails and he was headed for rocks. Upon arrival found a single occupant adrift on sailboat with no anchor. Towed vessel to keep it pointed into wind and slowed progress towards rocks. PB1 provided backup. As storm passed, PB 2 towed vessel to mid-Sound to meet Nassau County Marine Unit.
8/16 Two different groups of unruly youths at Rye Rec Skate Park, 9:51 p.m. Both dispersed.
8/16 Caller reported female on Playland Beach, where she was not supposed to be and may have been in distress, 8:23 p.m. All in order.
8/16 Unit 3 reported green Dodge pick-up with Conn. plates driving recklessly. Failed to comply with stop. Chase broke off at Exit 2, Byram.
8/16 Caller reported possible snake bite to her leg, John Jay Place.
8/16 Caller reported two male Rye Colony residents, one older, one younger, shoving, screaming at each other, 4:40 p.m. Spoke to uncooperative parties. Neither wanted to speak with officers and wanted them off their property. Stated they were having dinner, speaking loudly.
8/16 Father called to report his 15-year-old son had not returned from a swim to Greenhaven Beach from AYC. Last seen wearing yellow life jacket. Party located by PB1, transported to AYC where he was reunited with his father.
8/16 It’s 3 in the morning… Group of youths walking down street by Rye Town Park talking loudly, 3:40 a.m. Agreed to walk home quietly for the night.
8/15 Large red rooster? Trespasser reported on Hen Island. Described as white male wearing red bathing suit, white bucket hat, operating red kayak. PB1 reported no one on island matching description.
8/15 Prince Charming. Male, white T-shirt, black hat, urinated in street near Apawamis/Midland avenues. Female with him was carrying pink handbag.
8/15 Criminal Mischief. Unknown party burned Bradford Avenue complainant’s Rye pRYEde flag sometime overnight. Paperwork left with complainant for return to HQ.
8/15 Observed female driver of Conn. vehicle attempting to tow male driver of NY registered vehicle with rope, 2:18 a.m., Theodore Fremd Avenue. Male driver did not have I.D. or proper registration. Stated incorrect name at first. Order of Protection found from NYC. Party advised to leave vehicle at scene overnight, get it towed in morning.
8/14 Haul pass. Suspicious vehicle, Glendale Road, 9:50 p.m. Caller reported U-Haul truck backed up to neighbor’s residence where owners were away on vacation. Caller got in touch with owner whose brother-in-law was staying the night before continuing trip south.
8/14 Several residents called to report cutout in road on Oakland Beach Avenue, causing hazard. DPW Foreman notified.
8/14 Marine units issued multiple violation notices for improper Greenhaven mooring locations.
8/14 Harry Crumb Detective School. Caller stated vehicle with NJ plates had been following her from Yonkers to Rye location. Stated vehicle keeps responding to her change in location. Made contact with vehicle operator. Checked out, was PI.
8/13 Just using the…batroom? Ivy Street caller had bat in his bedroom and requested help removing, 11:01 p.m. Bat left of his own volition.
8/13 Caller reported fraud, unknown party had filled out federal loan application with her information.
8/13 Do they never have curfews? Group of four youths observed near Rye Rec basketball courts, 1:41 a.m. Local residents advised to move along. Advised no park entry after dark.
